rooftop routine 

Rooftop Routine was a performance and video produced by the artist, Christian Jankowski for the 2007 iteration of Performa, the biennial for new visual art performance in New York. Jankowski found inspiration in his Chinese neighbor, Suat Ling Chua, who he had observed from hula-hooping on the rooftop. I was one of more than two dozen dancers on Chinatown rooftops as part of the performance. This echoes the happenings of 1970s and reflects on the legacy of such performative, artistic acts in a later age of mediation and entertainment.
