institute for art scene studies

The Institute for Art Scene Studies brought together artists and social researchers to study the social world of contemporary art. As a collective, we conducted research, developed performance lectures, and workshopped ways we might foster a collaborative spirit amongst practitioners from a variety of fields and produce and share knowledge in forms that are difficult for a single discipline to circumscribe. The IfASS was active from  2012-2014 and was initiated by Barbara Adams, Adeola Enigbokan, Pablo Helguera, and David Peppas.
